About

I started as a developer in 2006 and grew into business analysis, data modeling, solution design and technical leadership — without ever stepping away from the code.

Most of my work lives where systems meet: Android devices syncing with web platforms, batch processes feeding commercial systems, legacy apps migrated to modern stacks. I care about clear data models, tested code and solutions that are still easy to change ten years later.

Lately I build with AI-assisted engineering: custom Claude Code agents for QA, security and code review, backed by a solid testing practice with JUnit, Mockito and Vitest.

Mobile Customer Engagement Management (GCM)

The problem

Two electric distribution companies in the Dominican Republic contracted customers and inspected properties on paper. Getting a new customer into the billing cycle could take months.

My role

Project leader and solution architect, from business requirements to production. I defined the scope with stakeholders, designed the data model and integrations, and led a team of up to 7 engineers.

The solution

A platform that digitized contracting and field inspections: Android devices sync over REST with a Spring web application, and Oracle PL/SQL batch processes validate every record against business rules before it updates the Commercial Management System (SGC).

An invoicing application I built by directing Claude Code: I wrote the architecture rules, designed custom agents for QA, security hardening and Angular code review, and orchestrated them across the project.

Real-Time Chat

A real-time chat I wrote by hand to sharpen my testing and frontend practice: presence, typing indicators and persisted history.

  • Spring Boot 4 backend with WebSocket/STOMP messaging and JPA persistence
  • React 19 + TypeScript frontend with connection, messaging and typing logic in custom hooks

    Project Leader — Solution Architect

    • GCM — Mobile Customer Engagement Management

      Designed and led the platform that digitized customer contracting and field inspections for two electric utilities. In production since 2016.

    • Inventory platform modernization — Banco Popular

      Led the migration from Classic ASP to ASP.NET MVC. Designed a fully normalized database and defended the redesign despite timeline pressure, which made Entity Framework adoption possible.

    • Energy loss control — AES SONEL, Cameroon

      Enhanced a PHP/Oracle enterprise application and spent a month on site supporting the go-live, working in English with customer teams.

    • Customer data capture — EDESUR

      Led a team of three on a .NET and Windows Mobile system — the foundation of what later became GCM.

    Web Developer

    Maintained the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico Yellow Pages portals, built a lightweight mobile version, and designed the company intranet from scratch in ASP.NET and C#.
